Solutions

  1. Not converting / Yellow triangle

There are 3 reasons why this may occur:

    1. DRM protected (See: Converting DRM files)
    2. File is corrupt
    3. ffmpeg does not support the file format
  2. Files not playing/shortened

There are 2 reasons this may occur:

    1. DRM protected (See: Converting DRM files)
    2. File is corrupt
  3. Can’t find converted file

    • Audio/Video: Same folder as input/original file
    • CD: My Music
    • DVD: My Videos

Choosing destination folder:¬†After selecting a device or format you will see a settings icon below the quality/model options. Click settings and uncheck the box titled, “Output file to same folder as input”. Then you can manually choose the location of the output file.

  4. Last track on CD will not rip

You have an Enhanced CD and EasyConverterPro is adding tracks that do not exist.

  5. Babylon/Funmoods Removal

    How to uninstall:

    1. Click start menu
    2. Go to Control Panel
    3. Click either:
    4. Add or remove programs
    5. Uninstall/remove programs
    6. Find Funmoods Toolbar
    7. Click remove or uninstall
  6. Convert to CDA

Unfortunately it is impossible to convert to a CDA file. A CDA file is merely a Windows representation of an audio CD track, so to actually “create a CDA” file, you would just need a create an audio CD.

  7. Converting DRM files

Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a term that refers to the restriction of free use and transferring of Digital content most commonly being audio and video files.

There is no legal way of circumventing this protection and we cannot condone illegal use of such files. Therefore EasyConverterPro does not support the conversion of DRM protected audio and video files.

  8. Drag and drop not working

There are only 2 reasons why dragging and dropping files may not work:

    1. When launching EasyConverterPro for the first time the “Drag-and-Drop” feature will be disabled. It will be re-enabled once opening EasyConverterPro in future.
    2. The file format you are trying to drag-and-drop is not supported by EasyConverterPro.
  9. Doesn’t show my files when I click add audio/video

    • Try dragging and dropping from the folder
    • File format is not recognised by EasyConverterPro
  10. Won’t convert MKV to AVI

MKV files use an aac audio codec which can contain more than 2 audio channels. When you convert MKV to AVI you also convert the audio codec to MP3. MP3 audio codecs can only hold 2 audio channels. So if your MKV file had more than 2 audio channels and you convert to AVI it may not play. This means you need to do one of 2 things:

    1. Force the number of audio channels to 2 (Will downgrade the quality of the audio): When choosing AVI and the AVI quality, click settings and then you will see the ffmpeg arguments. Go to the end of the arguments and add a space. Then type the following, “-ac 2″. Then click convert and it should work fine.
    2. Keep the audio codec as aac (We haven’t tested it yet): When choosing AVI and the AVI quality, click settings and then you will see the ffmpeg arguments. Look for where it says, “-acodec libmp3lame”. This is what changes the audio codec to MP3. So what we want to do is change this to an aac codec. We do this by deleting the code “-acodec libmp3lame”, and adding instead, “-acodec libvo_aacenc”. (make sure there.s a space added before inserting “-acodec libvo_aacenc”).
  11. How to view the log

Leave EasyConverterPro open and go to: C:\Users\<acount_name>\AppData\Roaming\EasyConverterPro\Temp\log. Then send the log to us at: support@easyconverterpro.com
